What do I need to travel with my pet?

Don’t get caught by surprise on travel day. Preparation for travel and processing the required documents  can be take weeks to months depending on your final destination.  AMNC offers everything you need to travel with your pet internationally. 

If you are traveling overseas you may be subject to additional import regulations by the countries you are traveling to so we recommend planning ahead by completing our Pet Owner Worksheet for Travel Certificates (see below).  Our staff will review your information and make the appropriate recommendations to ensure your pet is healthy and you have the required documentation to reach your destination country.

Depending on the countries you are visiting,  return to the United States may require some or all of the following: 

• Blood tests
• Vaccinations
• Microchips for identification
• Permits
• Health certificates

Remember to also check with your airlines for any additional requirements they may have. 

Cat-specific travel requirements mirror our canine friends but do not require import permits.
