Cryosurgery

Cryosurgery is a surgical process used to destroy tissue using extreme temperatures of cold. It is most frequently used to remove or destroy small growths on the skin of animals. Cryosurgery has in many ways surpassed the efficacy of alternative treatment modalities since its introduction to the veterinary medicine as a useful adjunct in the removal of unwanted cellular tissue. Controlled cryosurgery is particularly suitable as intra and post-operative problems such as hemorrhage, infection and suture removal are minimal to nonexistent.
